Information for Teaching Staff

In the Lifelong Learning programme the possibility exists for teachers in higher education institutions to go on a teaching visit, to or do an exchange with, an institution abroad. If you are a teacher in a conservatoire, Musikhochschule or Music Academy and you would like to know more about the existing opportunities for the mobility of teachers,  you can find all the information you need in this section of the website.

The benefits of international exchanges are numerous. Exchanges enrich the internal culture of your institution, as well as it improves its external image by attracting more students. Furthermore, an exchange abroad is a unique opportunity for a teacher to gain inspiration and impulses to his/her professional development. These benefits (and more) are listed in the document Why Professional Music Institutions should be involved in European Cooperation and Exchange.

In addition to this document, you can find frequently asked questions (FAQs) in English, French and German. This information may be useful if you would like to find out more about working in another European country.

If you would like to know more about issues related to the mobility of students and teachers and to European developments in higher education, we invite you to visit the "Work & Policies" part of this website, which deals specifically with matters related to the Bologna Declaration Process, such as the introduction of the Bachelor/Master structure, the use of credit points, quality assurance approaches, and much more.
