As you may know, AEC is coordinating a European project entitled ‘SMS’ (Strengthening Music in Society). We are contacting you on behalf of the Digitisation Working Group, which is interested in creating a categorisation of projects or practices related to the digital shift that may be taking place in our Higher Music Education Institutions
We are interested in hearing whatever digital technologies you use to enable or enhance the educational experience. This involves practices ranging from the institutional level (i.e. digital qualification archives, room management, Moodle) to specific learning initiatives (i.e. sharing scores via Whatsapp, using MIDI controllers in class, digital boards, interactive seminars, use of tablets, composing approaches, etc.), and mid-term projects which involve digital use (which could include, but is not limited to, online ‘jam’ sessions, digital synth ensembles, ...).
In order to understand the wide and diverse digital ecosystems in music education, we kindly ask you to disseminate this short questionnaire to your institution members including students and academics, support and management staff.
Here is the link:
The questionnaire is easily accessible (via Google Forms), and takes approximately 5 à 10 minutes to complete.
We sincerely hope that, thanks to your collaboration and initiative, we will receive many responses, providing very valuable information on current digital trends.
We also thank you very much for your collaboration in advance!
The AEC-SMS Working Group on Digitisation.
