Entrepreneurship in the Arts

Entrepreneurship in the arts focuses on enabling connections between artists and diverse groups through arts practices and products, thereby building understanding of and engagement in music, and supporting individual artists in creating viable and sustainable careers.

A growing scarcity of resources, be they public or private, have led to an increased need to diversify funding, which in turn suggests the need to develop contemporary solutions and tools for artists. Worldwide, funding for opera houses, orchestras, music schools, charities organizations and social enterprises is increasingly moving to the private sector, requiring artists to acquire sophisticated skills to position themselves effectively in society, and to be able to market, brand and sell their work.
